Five Question Friday- 3/5/10

The end of another week. Today was a busy day...3 kids to the drs...volunteered at Isaac's school...dessert made for meeting...and still heading off to my meeting in a bit. Will be glad to have a day to rest, though I'm not sure WHEN that will be! For now enjoy this weeks Five Question Friday and head over to Mama M's to see some more!

1. What's your guilty pleasure?
I've mentioned this atleast once recently...but my guilty pleasure would be my Large Decaf Blueberry coffee from Dunkin Donuts! It just makes my day when I am able to grab one when I am out and about. My sisters and I tease each other whenever we get one! :)

2. What is your favorite TV series?
My all time favorite would be Little House on the Praire. I will watch it anytime I see it on. Isaac and Grace are starting to like it too :) More recently my most favorite would be the Amazing Race or American Idol...though I haven't gotten into them yet this season because of the Olympics being on...maybe this week! :)

3. Can you speak any foreign languages?
I took 7 years of French...though it's been over 10 years since I took it...so I'm not sure it counts as speaking a foreign language. I still remember a lot and will pull words and phrases out in front of the kids. It's fun to see their reaction to these "silly" words! :)

4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Probably less than 10 and I only regularly wear 2 or 3...shoes just aren't my thing :)

5. What's your favorite kind of M&M's...peanut, almond, straight up regular, etc.?
My favorite are the Peanut Butter or the Strawberried Peanut Butter. I don't pick M&M's very often...but those would be the ones I would choose.

You Capture- Hopeful

This week's You Capture theme is Hopeful. When I saw that last week I figured I wouldn't find much to take pictures of that would be hopeful...so I wasn't even thinking about it at all this week. So, today, I checked my camera to see what I might have captured that was hopeful and I found a few. This picture was taken last Thursday night. Isaac had come home from school and told us that his teacher had told his class that if they wore their pj's inside out and backwards and put a spoon under their pillow they would have a snow day the next morning. Of course I had to document his silliness :) He was very hopeful that there would be a snow day on Friday!
It snowed all night and we woke up to a snow day! The significance of it is that our school district has only had a snow day ONCE in the 6 years we have lived here (and we live where it snows from November to April!!!). I just had to laugh that it actually worked :) :) It continued to snow throughout the day...but by supper time the snow had stopped and the sun actually came out. Hope for another day :)
And finally, I took this picture on Friday. Isaac and Grace are sitting at the table playing a game together and Ruth is looking longingly at them...hoping she could get to them. This is also the 1st time she pulled up on her knees!!! I was shocked and went to grab her...but grabbed my camera instead :)

For more Hopeful You Capture submissions head on over to Beth's! :)

Blog Parade!

I know, I know...my blog has become a bunch of Q&A's and picture posts...but atleast they are getting me on here writing, right? Ruth is actually napping right now which is giving me the time to write. If you want to join in on this blog parade just head on over to Rear Window and link up! :)

1. What's your favorite time of the day, and why?
My FAVORITE time of day is bedtime..though it would be more enjoyable if I knew I would be getting more then 2-3 hours at a time :) I LOVE sleep...Francis knows this and has let me sleep in as much as possible since Ruth has been born since I am up so much at night and not able to nap during the day.

2. If health wasn't an issue, what food could you live off of?
I'd have to say turkey subs. I love them with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatos, TONS of pickles, banana peppers, and a little mustard. Subway and Wegman's are my favorites.

3. If you could have one wish granted (besides wishing for more wishes), what would it be?
To have just enough money to pay off our debt so that we could go each month without worrying about our finances. If we could have our school loans and credit cards paid off it would be a load off of our minds.

4. What's one thing that you get teased about a lot?
Probably would be my indecisiveness. No wait it's probably my... ha ha :) Anyway, if we go to a new restaurant it takes me twice as long to figure out what I want. And don't ask me to PICK the reataurant...we'd never get there! In some instances I know my indecisiveness is because I worry about the people I'm with and whether it is what they would want or I worry about what they think about my choice.

5. If you could choose one movie, book, or TV show to spend your life in, which would you pick? What type of character would you be?
I would have want to be in Little House on the Prairie...it would be a lot of hard work...but I don't know...I just like that era.

6. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be?
I would love to be able to play the piano. I love watching pianists' hands glide over the keys and I wish I could do the same. I'm lucky to tap out a sad version of heart and soul :)

7.If money were no object, where would you go on vacation?
I would want to travel to Ireland, Italy, and France...except that I have a fear of flying over the ocean. So, realistically I'd like to go to Disney World. I've never been and I would love to bring the kids to see it and be able to live a little of the magic through them.

8. If you were an awesome singer, which genre would you sing?
Oh, probably just contempory Christian music... Natalie Grant more specifically!

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, what would it be?
I'd say Walmart or Target...the ones with a grocery store too would be best...then I could get (most) anything we needed.

10. If you could live in any point in time, when would it be?
I guess that would go back to what book/tv show I want to live in. I'd have to say the late 1800's.

11. If every outfit in your wardrobe had to be one color, what would it be?
Pink-definitely pink! Actually most of my wardrobe (shirts, pj's, socks, etc.) already is pink, as is Gracie and Ruthie's. Since pink is my favorite color it is my 1st choice when picking out clothing for any of the 3 of us :)

12. If you were one of the seven dwarves, which one would you be?
(Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, or Dopey)
Bashful- I am terribly shy, quiet, reserved, etc when I am in a crowd or around new people.

13. What's the last album you listened to?
It's not an entire album, but I just got MercyMe's newest single All of Creation and have been listening to it all day. The most recent cd we've been listening to (mostly in the car) is Phil Joel's Deliberate Kids. It's a great kids cd that we actually enjoy listening to as well!

14. What's something we'd be surprised to know about you?
Not sure how much of a surprise it is, but despite how ill I get with my pregnancies, I love being pregnant and I already get sad when I think about what it will be like going through it for the last time...

Sunday Snapshot(s)

My twin sister started Sunday Snapshot(s) last week as a way to show more pictures to our family and friends each week. This is my shot of the week...my 3 babies. We bought these outfits to wear to church on Christmas Sunday...then we were all home sick with the stomache flu. No problem...they are red..I'll just save them for Valentine's day! Except that we all ended up being home with ear infections, pink eye, strep throat, etc. So...today was dress up day and they looked pretty cute (though I may be biased!) :)

Five Question Friday- 2/26/10

Friday...again? The week just seems to fly by!

1. Do you sing karaoke? If so, what is your go to song?
I don't think I have ever sang karaoke...if i did it wasn't memorable :)

2. What is your favorite coffee drink?
Large Decaf Blueberry with cream and sugar from Dunkin Donuts. In the summer I make it an Iced. Any day is a GREAT day when I can wrap my hands around one. Hubby knows he can brighten my day by walking in the door with one :)

3. If you could choose your own name, what would it be?
Right now I wouldn't change my name...but when I was in elementary school I LOVED the name Linda. Whenever we would play I would pick that as the name I wanted everyone to call me. I named my goldfish Linda. Now, it isn't even close to a name I would choose...but I would've changed my name in a heartbeat back then! :)

4. Were you ever bullied?
Yes, towards the end of my senior year of high school. It was awful...thankfully I had a good relationship with my guidance counselor and principal and were able to help difuse the situation. Though I was glad to graduate and move on from all the high school drama!!!

5. How often do you eat fast food?
Probably only once or twice a month. We try to be careful with our money, so if we want to eat out we try and spend the money at a nice sit down restaurant instead.

Check out other great answers to this weeks' 5QF over at Mama M's! :)

You Capture- Shapes

This weeks' You Capture is Shapes. I didn't take any pictures this week specifically with this theme in mind...but this is what I found when I looked on my camera...

This is our playroom...one of my favorite spots in the house. It only looks like this about .001% of the time. I was capturing Isaac and Grace studying this floor map and playing prince and princess as they traveled to different places. But the shape I see is the big square of our colorful playmat. Everyone who comes over loves it and it really makes the room stand out as a playroom.

(square)

This picture I took on Monday night. My hubby came in from outside and told me to look out the window and this is what I saw. Awww... I know... so sweet. I smiled and it made my heart smile when I saw and everytime I caught another glimpse of it up until this afternoon when snow finally covered over it :)

Five Question Friday- 2/19/10

My Little Life

It's Five Question Friday again! For other responses head on over to Mama M's! :)

1. Have you ever hit an animal with your vehicle?
Yes- I think I only had my licence for about a year and I hit a little chipmunk. I saw him run out and when I looked in my rearview mirror he was just laying in the road. That is the only thing I have hit...but I have stopped MANY time for chipmunks, squirrels, and cats running out in my path. Francis keeps telling me that I'm going to cause an accident by stopping...but I just can't help it. My reaction is to slow down and stop if I see one!

2. When you see a string on your clothes do you pull it off or cut if off?
I'd say most of the time I pull it. If it is really tough I'll use my teeth!

3. Did you have your own room or share a room when you were young?
I've shared a room since in the womb! Most of the time my twin sister and I were roommates though I did room with my younger sister a few times! :)

4. Would you rather wear the same thing for the rest of your life or eat the same thing for the rest of your life?
Definitely rather wear the same thing...as long as it was something comfy! I like too many different foods to eat just one thing over and over and over again :)

5. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
I'm not sure at what age of a child...but as an "older" child I loved (and still do) Little House on the Praire. Saved by the Bell was also a favorite to watch each week.

Sorry for the short answers tonight. It's been a very long week in our house filled with LOTS of sickness. Baby girl is the most recent to fall ill and she is miserable. All she wants is to be in my arms, which I'm perfectly okay with. It just doesn't leave me much time to write! :)

See...
